BIS selection format

BIS selection format will consist of online written test followed by interview for successful candidates in written test.Outstation candidates selected for interview will be given traveling expenses for second class train fare. There is no details about syllabus or format of written test.

This makes it difficult for candidates to plan for the BIS exams. It is also not mentioned if there will be any negative marking. The only thing mentioned is that it will be online exam. The format of exams should include basic testing of aptitude reasoning along with technical knowledge and general awareness.

So you should focus on these topics for the exam.In case you are preparing for other exams then these sections will be automatically taken care of.The only section you need to focus on is technical knowledge section. This section will have objective type technical question based on Graduation curriculum.

So you should revise key topics of your graduation curriculum for this exam. The number of questions from each section is also not decided. So it is not clear how many questions you can expect from technical and how many questions you will have in other sections.

Going by the pattern of other similar exams it is clear that technical questions will have largest number of questions and marks. So good preparation of technical section will help you secure good marks in exams.
