Bombay high court law clerk eligibility criteria
Bombay high court is inviting applications for post of Law Clerks.The number of vacancies are 80 and 20 on contract basis in Bombay high court and its benches in Nagpur and Aurangabad. The eligibility criteria is given below
Candidates should have cleared final LLB examination in first attempt with minimum 55% marks or Candidates should have post graduate degree in law.Candidates with post graduate degree in law may be given preference by Bombay high court.
Candidates should also have working knowledge of software used for case laws.This means you should have working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other office packages.
As mentioned below in the article candidates should have recommendation from concerned law college principal.The date on which you receive recommendation is important.Your age should not be less than 21 years or more than 30 years on recommendation date.
Bombay high court law clerk application process
Candidates applying for above vacancy should have their application recommended by Principal of any reputed law college recognized by University Grants Commission subject to approval by the Honorable Chief Justice.They have also given list of colleges from where you can have your application recommended.The list of colleges are mentioned below

Candidates who have passed LLB and LLM exams may also be recommended by President of Bombay bar association or President of Advocates association of western India or President of Incorporated law society for Principal seat in Bombay.
For bench at Nagpur candidates can get their applications recommended by President High court bar association Nagpur.Similarly for bench at Aurangabad and Panaji Goa they can get their applications recommended by President high court bar association Aurangabad and President high court bar association Panaji Goa.
Candidates should submit application along with self attested documents.The application should be recommended by above persons.You have to send your application by speed post,hand delivery,courier and RPAD.The applications should reach on or before 30 September 5PM.
On application envelop you should write Application for appointment of Law Clerk.The application should be addressed to Registrar(Personnel),High Court, Appellate side,Bombay,5th floor,New Mantralaya building,GT hospital compound,Behind Ashoka shopping center,Near crawford market,LT marg,Mumbai – 400 001.
Bombay high court law clerk selection process
The selection process will not have written test.This is good news for candidates.There will be only Interview.Candidates recommended by above listed persons will be called for personal interview.Personal interview will be taken at Bombay high court.The date and time of interview will be shared by candidates later on.
The date on interview will be shared on website of high court.You will also be notified about the exams date by mail.So make sure you are giving correct email address on your application form.

There are few things I would like to mention about this job.The position is contractual position for one year.So if you are not interested in contractual position then you should not apply for this job.You will be paid 20,000 INR per month as stipend.The contract may be extended beyond one year as well.
There is no mention that you will be made permanent after some time.So you should not think that after sometime in job you will become permanent.
