NABARD Development Assistant exam dates

National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development in short referred as NABARD has recently published notification for recruitment of 85 Development Assistant.The above number of posts include reserved posts in different categories as well as development officer Hindi posts.

The posts are divided into different states.One candidate can apply for only one state.Below are important dates of recruitment.You can read rest of the article and then apply online with below link.Note you have to apply online.The payment of fees will also be online.You should take print out of payment receipt and application form.

You should carefully fill up the application form. Nabard can reject your application if your application form details does not match with actual details.So before submitting the application form verify the details carefully.

  • Payment of exams fees online – 30 August to 20 September
  • Date of Online test – November or December month.Exact dates will be announced on website
  • Application fees – 450 INR for General and 50 INR for reserved candidates

NABARD Development Assistant eligibility criteria

Age limit

Your age should be between 18 years and 35 years as on 31st July 2016.This age limit is applicable for General Category candidates.For other candidates the upper age limit is relax-able. For SC and ST candidates the upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years.For OBC candidates it is relaxable by 3 years.

For Widowed and Divorced women who have not remarried the upper age is relaxed by 10 years.For person with disabilities the upper age is relaxed by 10 years (General),13 years (OBC) and 15 years (ST/SC).

Development Assistant

For Development Officer English Candidates should be Graduate in any discipline with 50% marks (for reserved candidates the percentage is not applicable only pass is required). Candidates should also have working knowledge of computers and proficiency in Microsoft Word.

You should also have working knowledge of local language.You should be able to read,write and speak local language of state you are applying for. For example if you are applying for West Bengal then you should have knowledge of Bengali language.You should also have working knowledge of English language.

Development Assistant Hindi

For Development Assistant Hindi candidates should be Graduate with 50% marks(for reserved candidates only pass is required).In Graduation you should have Hindi or English as subjects or you should have Hindi as language of instructions and English as mandatory subject or vice versa.

Development Assistant Hindi candidates should also have knowledge of Computers as well as English language and local language of state.

For both the posts if marks of the candidate are in percentile, they will have to submit a certificate indicating percentage equivalent to percentile from the concerned institution.

NABARD Development Assistant selection process

Nabard development assistant selection process will only have written test.There will not be any interview.The written test will be divided into two exams Preliminary exam and Main exam.Both the exams will be online.

Preliminary exams

Preliminary exams will be of 1 hour duration.It will be of 100 marks.There will be 100 questions each of 1 marks.The exam will have three sections English Language,Numerical Ability and Reasoning for Development Assistant.For Development Assistant Hindi there will not be Numerical Ability section.

Instead of Numerical Ability section they will have Professional Knowledge Hindi section.English language section will have 40 questions each of 1 marks.Other two sections will have 30 questions and will have 30 marks.There will be negative marking as well.

Main exams

Main exams will have objective test and descriptive test.The time for objective tests will be 90 mins and for descriptive test will be 30 mins.Main exams will have below sections in objective test

  • Reasoning test – 30 questions
  • Quantitative Aptitude – 30 marks for Development Assistant Hindi instead of Quantitative Aptitude it will be Professional knowledge Hindi
  • General Awareness (with special focus on Agriculture,Rural development and Banking) – 50 marks
  • Computer Knowledge – 40 marks

The descriptive exams will be of English language.You will be asked to write Essay,Precis,Report or Letter writing.The time for descriptive test will be 30 mins.The total marks in descriptive test will be 50.
